Pacific Aero Tech follows these procedures in the overhaul of acrylic transparencies:

1. The unit is completely disassembled and inspected. Inspection includes visual and ultrasonic thickness test.
2. The panel is sanded, machine polished, and edge routed as necessary to remove crazing, scratches, or chips.
3. Edge chips are repaired as necessary.
4. The unit is re-assembled with new seals, grommets, and spacers.
5. Any Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, Engineering Orders and other engineering directives specified by the customer are carried out.
6. The final assembly is inspected and certified in accordance with the OEM's Component Maintenance Manual.
