This position owns component designs, drives R&D experimentation, authors deliverable qualification reports and test reports, and delivers compliant engineering data packages that enable Pacific Aero Tech to efficiently scale new programs. This role requires strong initiative and autonomy, familiarity with a controlled product environment, regulatory understanding and fluency, hands-on experimentation capability, and the ability to work in cross functional teams to drive program milestones.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES:
Reverse Engineering
Be able to measure and understand how to best define a component’s functional features.
Ensure engineering data meets 14 CFR, FAA guidance, airworthiness, and safety requirements for Part 145 repairs.
Understand Design for manufacture and apply GD&T per ASME Y14.5 to all critical features and interfaces.
Understand metrology and be familiar with the approaches to gathering part definition data and variance.
Be able to use the advanced features of SolidWorks to adequately define models and drawings.
Research, Experimentation & Technical Development
Design and execute R&D experiments to validate new repair methods, materials, tooling, and processes.
Build and test prototype parts, assemblies, and fixtures; analyze results and iterate designs.
Develop and validate process parameters (thermal, mechanical, material, electrical as applicable).
Translate experimental outcomes into repeatable, production-ready engineering solutions.
Understand Manufacturing processes and tooling design/development.
Develop Test Plans for Certification
Maintain audit-ready documentation and traceability throughout the program lifecycle.
Serve as the technical focal point between FAA, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
Produce engineering drawings, models, and data packages using SolidWorks.
Define specifications, acceptance criteria, and standards for repair processes and tooling.
Support or author engineering substantiation, including test reports, analysis, and compliance narratives.
FAA Part 145 Integration & Production Enablement
Convert approved DER data into shop-floor-ready work instructions, inspection criteria, and training materials.
Support production during initial implementation and ramp-up of new repair products.
Troubleshoot technical issues in manufacturing and drive corrective engineering actions.
Ensure new designs are robust, repeatable, auditable, and cost-effective, and scalable.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, materials, aerospace, or electrical engineering (ABET-accredited).
2+ years of hands-on engineering experience in a regulated industry (Aerospace, Medical, etc.), preferably in Part 145 or Part 21 environments.
Demonstrated direct experience with R&D and certification-driven engineering projects.
Strong proficiency in SolidWorks and engineering documentation.
Proven ability to design experiments, analyze results, and defend technical conclusions.
Comfortable working in manufacturing, lab, and shop environments.
Strong understanding of metrology and reverse engineering.
Strong Technical Writing skills.
Tooling Design.
Experience dealing directly with vendors/suppliers to procure and initiate testing/engineered components/tools.

This position is an accountable leader for all production operations at Pacific Aero Tech. Responsible for safely delivering customer commitments through disciplined execution, workforce development, operational excellence, and capacity planning. Leads production managers, supervisors, group leads, and manufacturing personnel across multiple shifts while driving throughput, labor efficiency, quality performance, schedule attainment, and on-time delivery.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
Production Leadership
Direct and coordinate all production activities across multiple shifts.
Lead Production Managers, Supervisors, Group Leads, and hourly employees.
Establish clear accountability for production output, quality, labor efficiency, and safety performance.
Develop daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly production plans aligned to customer demand.
Ensure production schedules are executed with discipline and urgency.
Lead daily production reviews, tier meetings, and operational performance reviews.

Throughput and Operational Execution

Monitor and improve labor utilization across all shifts.
Lead bottleneck identification and resolution activities.

Partner with Supply Chain and Engineering to remove operational constraints.
Workforce Development and Training
Build a scalable workforce capable of supporting rapid business growth.
Ensure effective onboarding and training of new employees.
Partner with the Training Manager to establish robust OJT programs and qualification matrices.
Develop succession plans for supervisors, leads, and key technical positions.
Identify skill gaps and create plans to close them.
Promote cross-training and workforce flexibility.
Hold leaders accountable for employee development and training effectiveness.
Quality and Regulatory Compliance
Ensure production activities comply with FAA Part 145 requirements and company procedures.
Support Quality Assurance initiatives and audit readiness.
Partner with Engineering and Quality to reduce defects, fallout, rework, and escapes.
Drive root cause corrective actions related to production performance.
Maintain strict adherence to approved work instructions and regulatory requirements.
Support customer, FAA, EASA, and third-party audits.
Continuous Improvement
Lead Lean Manufacturing and Operational Excellence initiatives.
Implement standardized work, visual controls, and process discipline.
Drive waste reduction throughout the value stream.
Utilize KPI dashboards and data analysis to identify improvement opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management, manufacturing, business, or related discipline preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Minimum of 8 years of manufacturing or operations experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in leadership managing production teams.
Aerospace, MRO, FAA Part 145, AS9100, or regulated manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
Proven track record of improving throughput, productivity, and operational performance.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, in use of ERP software (e.g. Pentagon), ILS, and other e-marketplaces, AeroXchange, Boeing Parts Page, and computer and internet savvy.
Knowledge of Boeing, Airbus, and other Commercial aviation Flight Deck Windows is highly desired.
Knowledge of import/export laws and customs highly desired.

This position will manage assigned customer accounts and will help Pacific Aero Tech maintain its unparalleled industry reputation by directly interfacing with the customers to meet their needs and provide quick solutions to customer inquiries.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
Interface as point of contact for the customer, utilizing effective judgment to coordinate customer needs with other departments.
Actively assist with resolutions by investigating problems, identifying possible solutions, and making recommendations.

This position is responsible for assisting in dimensional inspection and verification of aircraft components using precision measurement tools and CMM equipment. Working under close supervision, the mechanic applies basic mechanical, mathematical, and technical skills to ensure parts conform to engineering specifications, component maintenance manuals (CMMs), and FAA repair station requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Learn to read, interpret, and apply information from blueprints, engineering drawings and CMM.
Support experienced CMM mechanics with calibration and alignment of fixtures, tooling.
Conduct basic dimensional checks using precision hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, and dial indicators.
Maintain measurement data traceability and ensure accurate file management for inspection records, certificates, and reports.
Participate in daily production meetings to review job priorities, discuss quality findings and communicate progress to supervisors and quality control personnel.
Follow company processes for handling nonconforming parts and assist in root cause investigations or corrective actions as needed.
Maintain an understanding of PAT’s quality system, inspection processes, and FAA Repair Station manual requirements.
Adhere to all safety procedures, PPE policies, and environmental regulations (OSHA, WAC 296, and PAT HSE).
Participate in continuous improvement and Lean initiatives focused on process efficiency, quality enhancement, and ergonomic safety.

This position is responsible for performing inspection, verification, and approval functions in accordance with approved technical data, including OEM Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs), Service Bulletins (SBs), Airworthiness Directives (ADs), customer requirements, and Pacific Aero Tech FAA-approved repair specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform receiving, preliminary, in-process, final, and return-to-service inspections within authorized scope.
Verify conformity, configuration, condition, and airworthiness of aircraft components.
Perform incoming inspection of purchased parts and materials.
Review and interpret approved data, including CMMs, SBs, ADs, SLs, and internal repair specifications.
Document inspection results, discrepancies, and corrective actions in accordance with FAA and company requirements.
Perform and record first article inspections in accordance with AS9102.
Issue or support issuance of FAA Form 8130-3 when authorized.
Identify, document, and disposition of nonconforming product per Quality Management System procedures.
Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits related to inspection and airworthiness compliance.
Maintain compliance with the Repair Station Manual, Quality Manual, and all applicable revisions.
Exercise Repairman Certificate privileges only for tasks and functions specifically authorized by the Repair Station.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1-5 years of experience with FAA 145.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 15 months in repair operations.
Knowledge of FAA/EASA regulatory requirements.
Knowledge of Repair Station Manual.
Previously held or ability to acquire a Repairman’s Certificate under 14 CFR part 65.101.
Experience using handheld measuring and testing devices, e.g. digital multimeter, caliper, micrometers, radius gages, etc.
Experience in issuing FAA Form 8130-3s.
Demonstrate the ability to use computer programs such as Microsoft office products.
Must read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
